- Enter a grade for each course
in the grade column. All grades must be entered as a capital
letter (i.e., A, B, C, D or F). Do not use "+" or "-"
since the colleges do not compute plusses or minuses. For Honors or
AP grades add an "H" immediately following the grade
(i.e., AH, BH or CH). Honors points are not awarded for grades
below a "D" so do not enter an "H" for grades
of "D" or "F" in Honors or AP classes.
- In the "Credits" column,
enter the number representing the credit value for each classs.
Most classes are worth five (5) credits. However, some science
classes like Chemistry and Physics are valued a six (6) credits.
- When calculating your GPA for CSU
or UC college admission purposes, make sure to omit classes that are
not considered college prep courses by these universities. Only
UC approved honors courses can be used to calculate you college
admissions GPA. Click here to look up Palma's approved list of courses.
- When you have entered all of your grades
and credits, press the "Calculate" button and your
GPA will be displayed in a pop-up window
