I. Course Title: 7th Grade Theology
"Understanding Catholic Christianity"
II. Course Description:
The course is an introduction to the Catholic Faith that will help to promote in all students both an intellectual understanding of faith and an appreciation of the spiritual and affective dimensions of faith. The course attempts to foster a conscious and active excitement in participating in the liturgical and sacramental, moral, scriptural and traditional life of the Catholic Church.

The Student performance in this course will be measured by: Tests, Quizes, Homework, Class work, and Projects.
V. Course Content:
In this course the student learns the basic doctrines of the Catholic Church. This
Course helps students to develop their faith through formation in doctrine and the
Experience of Christian living.
*To develop a sound theological background in Faith.
*To examine the meaning of Catholic Traditions.
*To understand the four pillars of the Catechism and the Catholic Church
(creed, liturgy, morality, and prayer).
VI. Teaching Strategies:
Prayer, Bible Studies, Lectures, DVD, Speakers, Discussions, Art Projects, Recitation, Research Project, Reading Text, Internet Research, Power Point Presentations, Student Power Point Presentations, Story Telling, Studying Maps of the Holy Land and other church related areas, using Google Earth and other online mapping, and Reading the Bible.
